Technology on Kauai:
As mentioned before, we have no major technology stores on Kauai. So, we make do with what we do have-Mainly K-mart and Wal-mart. They have the basics, but if you blow out your hard drive on your laptop-well, let's just say we do have FED-EX.
We have broken the info into sections like" your digital camera." This is self explanatory. If it has to do with your camera, it is here.
While you are here, you may want to check your e-mail. I am happy to inform you that when I came here I bought to a little company and we were 1 of 4 places to check your e-mails. We have since closed that company, but the great news is that now there is over 10 places to check your e-mail. When we give you that map info on this there are 2 types of e-mail checking here. BYOC and YROC-which is "Bring Your Own Computer" and You Rent Our Computer." See, we have a lot of wireless hook ups, but most do not have computers to go with them. Please note that most of them are 802.11 wireless, and most are even "g," but only one has a wired LAN connection. So, please make sure you know how to login via wires. Here are general guidelines about the info you will need to check your e-mails, like what is your POP3 and SMTP mail servers. Please test before and then bring your list of website address URL's, user names and their passwords.
