The swimming at Ha'ena Beach is very hazardous as there is no reef to slow down the wave action. There is also a deep drop off just offshore. However, the beach and park area is a beautiful and popular site. Surfing along this coast is great for the experienced surfer only. Services and Amenities: Restrooms, showers, poor swimming, good surfing, sandy beach, grassy picnic area, picnic tables, shade trees, no lifeguards.
Cautions: Strong currents, dangerous shorebreak, high surf, sudden drop off, sharp coral and slippery rocks.
