North Shore pharmacy is located at 2460 Oka Street in Kilauea on the island of Kauai. North Shore Pharmacy's telephone number is 808-828-1844. North Shore Pharmacy is one of the "smaller" pharmacies on Kauai. However, I have noticed that going to a "smaller" pharmacy almost always means that you will get more prompt, personalized, and caring service. Fortunately for us, that is still only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to customer satisfaction. North Shore Pharmacy and others similiar to it, will do everything in their power to provide you with your prescription and any supplies you may also need. Occasionally, insurance companies may require that additional paperwork be submitted in order to cover the expense of your medication and/or supplies. If this is the case in your particular situation, and you are in need of your order as soon as possible-Pay for your products, and at the same time submit the forms to the insurance company that are needed for your reimbursement at a later date. This mode of action is acceptionally helpful when traveling. There are two other things that I recommend you know when you are on, or are going on vacation to Hawaii. Number one: The state of Hawaii is not able to fill certain medication prescribed by your doctor. For example-narcotic pain medications-Whether you bring in a prescription, or your doctor tries to phone in a prescription to a pharmacy in Hawaii-It will not be filled or taken. This is just the way it is here. No Narcotic pain medication prescriptions will be taken over the phone or be filled with your doctor's original prescription in hand in the state of Hawaii -unless your doctor is a licensed physician in the state of Hawaii. The only way to obtain a prescription narcotic pain medication when vacationing in Hawaii is to schedule an appointment with a physician in Hawaii and request a prescription from that doctor, or, go to an emergency room facility that has a licensed phytsician in the state of Hawaii that is able to write for you, and/or prescribe a prescription narcotic pain medication when needed. Number two: Whenever you are going to go to a pharmacy to fill a prescription from your doctor that is allowed to be filled in the state of Hawaii, and it seems to be a very common drug that may be out of stock, or, it is a seemingly rarely prescibed drug and it may not be in stock, or available at all-call the particular pharmacy of your choice to check on availability.
